However, others are more lenient, fearing that excessive restrictions might harm children’s life ahead.
The imposition of rules as a standard to which students are expected to conform can effectively enlighten students on how to distinguish right from wrong. Given their immaturity and lack of adequate moral judgment, children might easily go astray and embark upon the path to criminality if they ran contrary to morally acceptable behaviors. Some may end up in prison whilst others could become drug addicts. Thus, rules are a necessary evil to discipline children and shape their behaviors by providing guidance for them to follow. By understanding the crucial importance of acting within the confines of rules at their early age, children will also stand a better chance of adapting to different spheres of life in their future. After all, without rules, our society would quickly fall into disarray and possibly lapse into total chaos.
